LabRAM IR2 - The new LabRAM IR2 combined Raman/FTIR microscope

This instrument combines for the first time both confocal Raman microscope and FTIR micro-spectroscopy upon a single bench-top system.

SNOM Raman

SNOM and Apertureless (TERS) Raman is a new and emerging technique that is still in a state of evolution. As leaders in Raman Spectroscopy, HORIBA Jobin Yvon has a number of SNOM Raman installations worldwide and numerous collaborations in place throughout the world to bring this technique to a wider audience.

Interest in and development of this technique is rapidly gaining momentum. For instance with biological applications, the LabRAM INV has proved to be a particularly well suited instrument format, offering significant advantages over the conventional upright Raman Microscope.

Require enhanced stability, space and access to the microscope for specialized sampling arrangements? Then the innovative FSM microscope system can offer a unique solution.

An FT-Raman instrument typically employs a 1 µm excitation laser, an interferometer and a high-sensitivity NIR detector. By using the longer wavelength excitation laser, there is less energy supplied, so the virtual state is lower and less likely to overlap an upper electronic state. This greatly reduces fluorescence interferences.
With free path optics for sensitive, high throughput data collection, the FT-Raman Microscope delivers excellent spatial resolution for microscopic analysis of materials such as fibers, crystals, polymorphs and more.
